Scandinavian Design Katarina Wiklund

In her role as Bemz Inhouse Designer, Katarina Wiklund brings an innovative and fresh sense of style and design to Bemz textiles. Though wide in her design skills, she has a clear vision and distinctive style that was essential to the BEMZ´ design process. Whether she is interpretating a classic design or creating new, innovative styles and patterns, her use of colour and form is uniquely her own- resulting in the fresh, playful colours and patterns that you will see throughout the Bemz collections.

All of Bemz textiles are based on a mix and match concept- an idea that millions of unique combinations are possible if we provide the inspiration, and ensure that we have developed combinations that will work together. It is Katarina’s role at Bemz to weave a design “red thread” into every series of Bemz textile products.

Katarina attended Konstfack, the preeminent design university in Stockholm and has an extensive background within the textile industry. Her design portfolio includes clothing and costume design for theatre, stage and film. Katarina is also a well-regarded fine artist with a focus on textile art.
